A poetic songwriter and magnetic frontwoman, Jade wields her signature keytar at the center of a high-energy rock band, transforming each show into something cinematic, intimate, and a little otherworldly. The band hits hard, while Jade’s haunting voice pulls you in and stays with you. The sound lives somewhere between indie rock and anthemic alt-rock—music made to let loose to, then linger in your mind long after.
Her sound was built through exploration. Jade grew up singing classic rock in her father’s band before finding her footing in the Americana and singer-songwriter worlds. Her acoustic EP, Sink or Swim, revealed a darker, more haunting thread she wanted to follow. She traded the piano for a keytar, her husband and guitarist went electric, and the music began to expand. With drummer Michael Barnett and bassist/synth bassist Chris Olson, that evolution became a full-force cinematic rock show.
The world of Sara Jade draws from cinematic scoring, whimsy, psychology, dreams, and the beautifully strange. Think the theatrical imagination of Tim Burton colliding with the emotional fearlessness of Alanis Morissette and Florence + the Machine, and the sonic weight of Nine Inch Nails, Muse, and Incubus.
Onstage, Jade is equal parts ferocity and connection. Larger-than-life moments give way to startling intimacy, while playful antics invite the crowd to let loose, dance, scream, and move however they want. She has opened for Jason Mraz, performed across the country from Las Vegas to Dallas and Nashville, and won Best Pop Song at the 2026 San Diego Music Awards.
That instinct for connection extends beyond the stage. In 2024, Jade founded Songwriter Sisters, a San Diego community giving women in music a place to connect outside the hustle. That same year, she created the annual HalloWomen Spooktacular, a Halloween celebration of female rock artists that sold out in only its second year.
Her latest single, Splinters, marks the heaviest chapter yet—but the full story is best experienced live. With a debut record taking shape and a new run of shows ahead, Sara Jade is inviting listeners to be co-builders and help her bring this world to life.
